- Here we would like to share the messages that were sent with the donation towards mothers and the children in the disaster area -

October 2012
Please allow me to support in the healthy growth of children in the disaster area through my small contribution.

From Ageo-shi, Saitama pref.

September 2012
I have also given birth in February and in the midst of parenting. I would like to support mothers who are in the same situation.

I wish you the very best for the children of Tohoku.

From Tsukubamirai-shi, Ibaragi Pref.

During parenting (maybe in care also), I feel it is so important and makes you feel very secure that you are understood and able to communicate.

I hope that situations where people are able to appreciate themselves and to be appreciated will be provided as long as possible. My contribution is very small but I hope that can be made of use.

From Tsurumi-ku, Yokohama-shi

I would like to contribute monthly, however little the amount with the hope that your activity will continue.

I am getting old but I will use the strength of self-employment and work so it will enable me to increase the contribution in the near future.

From Sagamihara-shi, Kanagawa pref.

I have requested to have the option of automatic monthly payment direct from the bank in the year when you were operating "Tokyo Satogaeri Project".

I am very happy now that the option of the continuous support is available. It is a small amount, but I am very happy to be able to contribute every month.

From Suginami-ku (Tokyo)

August 2012
Recently two of my daughters have given birth to my grandchildren and they both suffered from mastitis.

I do hope that the mothers in the disaster area are able to feel at ease even a little, through receiving support from the midwives and having them as a support. There must be a lot of hardship (for the aid staff also) but I am sending you my support.

From Takaoka-shi, Toyama Pref.

I have also given birth in May. Since, everyday is a battle and there are many days when I feel down due to trouble in breastfeeding too.

When I heard about your work in newspaper, as a mother like you, I felt it would be so empowering to be able to have a support form the midwives, so though it is embarrassingly small amount that I can contribute, I am thankful if even this little amount can be used towards supporting your work.

From Hanyu-shi, Saitama Prefecture.

I have read your newspaper article on the 27th August. I am also a mother in the midst of parenting.

Even though I am living without any inconvenience, parenting is hard work. So thinking about the hardship that the mothers who are living in the temporary housing are experiencing, I could not think of it as something that is unrelated to me. It is a very small amount, but it is for the mother and the babies.

From Kagoshima-shi, Kagoshima Prefecture.

For the mothers who have lost their husbands in the disaster and bringing up their children and the mothers who are looking after babies in the temporary housing where you cannot feel at ease* I hope this donation will be used effectively. I am praying that many children will grow up well and strong.

*As temporary housing are build right next to each other with thin walls, many mothers feel a lot of stress when their children cries or make noises for the effect it may have on the neighbours. In a stressful environment, babies cry more and in some areas, children may not be safe to be out of the house all day long either.

From Sapporo-shi, Hokkaido prefecture.

I have learned about your work reading the newspaper article on the 27th August. Parenting is hard in itself; I feel it must be so difficult (if you are) in the disaster area.

I experienced postnatal depression and still being treated. I am sure there must be many mothers in the disaster area who maybe suffering with it without knowing that it is a disease. I am unable to work right now so only able to contribute a little but I hope that there will be a helping hand to as many mother and child victims as possible.

From Odawara-shi, Kanagawa prefecture.

It is such a small contribution but if it can contribute towards your work, I will feel grateful.

Aid work needs continued effort and there must be many hardships but please do continue for the smiles of parents and children.

From Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo.

We will make sure to deliver all your warmth and kindness to the mothers and babies in the disaster area.
